School Council

Our School Council  represents the views of all students and helps to get things done.

We have regular meetings each term, led by Mrs Curtis.  Part of our role is to act as communicators between children and staff.

All children know who the members are and are encouraged to approach them with ideas or worries.

We look at how we can make things even better at Churchdown Village Infant School.

Each term we hold lots of events and activities such as assemblies and project days.  Children, teachers and parents give us feedback about these events which we discuss to make them even more successful.

We will look at how our school has improved over the last year and what we can do to make it even better.

In year 2 we discussed why we have school council and how they are important in school. The children shared ideas about school council’s roles and responsibilities. The children then chose a representative from each house to be part of the school council.

We have made improvements to our school by sanding the Friendship Benches ready to be painted, planted shrubs and made alterations to Forest School and helped Miss Keating with the planning and design of the adventure playground.
