Chocolate Workshops

Yes, it really does say Chocolate Workshops!  Not a Mother's Day treat but an opportunity for Year One to learn where chocolate comes from and how it ended up in this country.  It comes from the cacao bean and was originally used to make bitter, spicy drinks which were created by the Aztecs and believed to be a gift from the God of Wisdom. It wasn't until the eighteen hundreds that it began to resemble the chocolate that we have today.

At the end of our workshop we had a chocolate tasting session - yum!
