On Thursday we celebrated World Book Day. The children looked fantastic in their huge array of costumes. We are focused on the ‘World’ theme and read stories from around the world. SAI International School Skyped with Year Two and read the story of the Blue Jackal. In the story the jackal attempted to fool the other animals around him into thinking that he was more special than they were. As you can imagine it did not end too well for the jackal who learned a valuable lesson in telling the truth. Caitlin Spence an evaluator commissioned by the British Council to assess impact of international provision joined us for the morning and observed lessons and spoke to staff and children about their different experiences of other cultures.
Very well done to Miss Tredgett for her fabulous Noddy costume!
