Cookery Club Spring Term 4

This week we have been baking Fruit and Spiced Irish Soda Bread as it is St Patrick's Day on Friday.

The ingredients included plain and wholemeal flour, bicarbonate of soda, caster sugar, raisins, oats, butter and buttermilk.

We mixed the dry ingredients together with the butter and then stirred in the buttermilk.  We finished off our loaves with demerara sugar and marked a cross in the top.

It was delicious!
