The Governors at Churchdown Village Infant School have an important role in ensuring high standards of achievement for all children in our school. They help set and ensure that the school's vision, ethos and strategic direction is adhered to by holding the Heateacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils and overseeing the financial performance of the school, making sure its money is well spent.
The Governing Body is made up of representatives from the teaching staff, parents and co-opted governors who have no direct connection to the school. Parent governors are not intended to be delegates and do not speak 'on behalf' of the parent body, but bring a parental perspective to the issues discussed.
The Governing Body of Churchdown Village Infant School meets as two committees, the Finance Committee and Communications and Standards Committee, as well as all together for Full Governing Body meetings. All these meetings are held termly.
